“Lucifer” season 4 will debut on Netflix this year, but exactly when is still unknown. But a recent Instagram post by Aimee Garcia, who plays Ella Lopez, could be hinting that it is happening anytime soon.
Garcia recently shared a group photo of her and other “Lucifer” season 4 stars on the social media site. She wrote in the caption, “Soooo fun seeing my #Lucifer family today ... for a top secret @lucifernetflix mission ... Missed THE HELL out of them (see what I did there).”
She is joined by Tom Ellis, Lauren German, D. B. Woodside, Kevin Alejandro, Lesley-Ann Brandt, and Rachael Harris. These actors will reprise their roles as Lucifer, Chloe Decker, Amenadiel, Dan Espinoza, Mazikeen, and Dr. Linda Martin, respectively, in “Lucifer” season 4.
The filming of “Lucifer” season 4 wrapped up last December. So what could be the cast’s “top secret mission”? The same social media update from Garcia was geotagged with “Netflix, Inc” that indicates the actors are in the company’s main office. CarterMatt then suggests that they were probably called in to shoot some promotional contents for “Lucifer” season 4.
It is also possible that one of the agenda of their recent reunion on set could be for the “Lucifer” season 4 release date announcement. The actors are noticeably not in their character costumes suggesting that the supposed promo videos they filmed are more likely episode commentaries or personal messages to fans.
Whatever special media contents that the cast of “Lucifer” season 4 have recently worked on, this is a major hint that the show’s debut as a Netflix Original show is fast approaching.
While the filming of “Lucifer” season 4 has ended a couple of months ago, another Instagram update from actor Graham McTavish showed that post-production is still ongoing. He plays a new adversary of Lucifer named Father Kinley. “The priest very much has got an axe to grind. He’s kind of obsessed with this prophecy having to do with the Devil walking the earth and finding his first love, and when that happens evil will be released upon the world. He truly, truly believes that,” Ellis said describing Father Kinley to TVLine.
