Customers in Russia and Belarus covered by MEXC’s planned service exit will receive individual notices setting out when to close open positions and move assets off the crypto exchange.

MEXC said each message will give its recipient the steps to take and the applicable timetable. The exchange’s announcement gives no common deadline for affected accounts.

Accounts without an official notice are outside the change, MEXC said, and their users may continue using the platform under its terms. The exchange described the decision as part of its global compliance efforts but did not identify a specific rule or regulator.

The plan follows a separate move by Bitget, which added Russia and Belarus to its list of restricted jurisdictions. Bitget’s terms dated Oct. 16 name both countries. That exchange also said it would send instructions directly to affected users, as EconoTimes reported on Bitget’s restrictions.

For MEXC customers subject to the change, the individual notices will provide the next timing details.
