‘Madam Secretary’ season 3’s episode 14, titled “Labor of Love,” will feature Elizabeth as she attempts to save a controversial marriage in attempts to secure a peace treaty between the Columbian government and rebel forces. Meanwhile, Jay will deal with problems of his own at home.
The synopsis for “Labor of Love” posted on TV Guide reads, “Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) works to save the marriage of two star-crossed lovers, the son of the Colombian president and the daughter of the rebel leader, in order to secure a peace deal after years of civil war.
Elsewhere, Henry (Tim Daly) prepares to send his operative undercover; Jay (Sebastian Arcelus) deals with his tenuous marriage situation; and Daisy (Patina Miller) makes a shocking discovery regarding Kevin (guest star Justin Baldoni).”
The upcoming episode will be an interesting test of diplomatic relations for Elizabeth as she attempts to work up a solution that will save a controversial marriage and secure peace negotiations to end years of civil war in a troubled nation at the same time. She will get involved in the case of the son of a Columbian president and the daughter of a rebel leader, who are fighting to keep their relationship intact.
Elizabeth’s task will be crucial in sealing negotiations between the Columbian government and rebel forces to achieve peace in the country. According to Christian Post, Elizabeth and her team will do everything in their power to keep the imminent wedding from getting disrupted.
Meanwhile, Jay will be dealing with problems close to home. His wife Abby (Stephanie J. Block) expressed her frustrations on Jay’s disregard for family affairs because of his work at the State Department and this has threatened to put their own marriage in jeopardy.
On his part, Jay is completely aware of the imbalance between his home life and his personal life. It will be interesting to see how he manages to keep his marriage intact. Perhaps Elizabeth will help him deal with it as he will be meeting with her in the upcoming episode.
