ATLANTA, April 05, 2016 -- Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANH) today announced its latest Slotting Optimization offering at MODEX 2016 in Atlanta. Featuring an enhanced, state-of-the-art algorithm; mobile capabilities; and a common data model with Warehouse Management, Manhattan’s Slotting Optimization delivers market-leading capabilities to address the increasing demands of today’s e-commerce distribution centers.
“Traditional slotting optimization tools must now be faster, easier to use and fully integrated with broader warehouse management solutions to support today’s expanding omni-channel environment,” said Peter Schnorbach, senior director of product management, Manhattan Associates. “Manhattan Associates understands the challenges of 21st century omni-channel retail and is dedicated to advancing our solutions to address our customers’ changing needs. Our latest release revolutionizes the slotting process with the most streamlined and versatile features available on the market today.”
Slotting requirements have changed dramatically over the past five years. While warehouses were previously re-optimized based on seasonality or periodic inventory resets, today’s e-commerce brands introduce and promote new products on a near constant basis. As a result, warehouse inventory is changing much more regularly, and slotting schedules have increased dramatically. This has put significant strain on warehouse processes.
Manhattan’s Slotting Optimization release addresses these challenges with a modern, enhanced algorithm based on the latest optimization and mathematical concepts and designed to deliver speed and ease of use. This new solution integrates seamlessly with Manhattan’s Distribution Management (DM) Mobile application. This allows warehouse managers to execute re-slotting requests directly from the warehouse floor with just the click of a button, versus returning to their desks and running requests through a stationary system.
Manhattan Associates representatives will be at booth 1939 throughout MODEX 2016, where they will offer demos of Slotting Optimization and the company’s broader distribution management solutions.
