The design of The Shisui, Marriott's fifth Luxury Collection hotel in Japan, conceptualized by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and Associates, flawlessly blends traditional Japanese architecture with the beauty of the Yoshiki-en temple garden.
Stepping into the reception lobby, restaurant, and lounge housed within a charming low wooden structure dating back to 1922, guests are immediately immersed in Nara's rich heritage and elegance.
Shisui comprises 43 guest rooms and suites, each thoughtfully designed with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the spaces with natural daylight, offering breathtaking views of the historic gardens and lush greenery. Select accommodations even boast captivating vistas of the nearby Mount Wakakusa, while deluxe rooms and suites offer private in-room hot springs or open-air baths.
