DAVIS, Calif., May 11, 2017 -- Marrone Bio Innovations, Inc. (MBI), (NASDAQ:MBII), a leading global provider of bio-based pest management and plant health products for the agriculture markets, and Jet Harvest Solutions, a leading developer of agricultural products to control disease and post harvest decay, today announced that the companies have entered into a master distribution agreement to market Jet Harvest’s Jet-Ag.
Jet-Ag is effective against bacteria, mold and yeasts and can be used by growers to combat a wide range of plant pathogens to help reduce microbial levels and disease problems in the agricultural, horticultural and turf industries.
“MBI is constantly looking to meet the unmet needs of our customers by expanding our offering to market and selling quality, environmentally responsible solutions that complement our current portfolio to recommend in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs,” said Dr. Pam Marrone, MBI’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “Jet-Ag is an excellent tank mix partner with Regalia biofungicide and our future biofungicide MBI110. We will also be recommending Grandevo or Venerate with Jet-Ag in the fight against Spotted Wing Drosophila, which has aggressively spread and become the major invasive insect pest of berries and cherries in both the Americas and Europe. This is the second partnership we have done to add complementary products to our portfolio of grower solutions.”
“Jet Harvest Solutions is very excited to work with Marrone Bio Innovations to create IPM solutions for the agriculture markets,” said Bill Grant, Owner and Director of Business Development, Jet Harvest Solutions. “Through extensive research and development, we have created a broad spectrum peroxyacetic acid (PAA) agricultural sanitizer that reduces plant pathogens with powerful oxidizing capacity and disinfectant properties. We look forward to partnering with MBI and expanding the distribution of Jet-Ag.”
Jet-Ag is versatile and beneficial, with broad spectrum activity against Erwinia, Botrytis, Anthracnose, Pythium, Fusarium, Colletotrichum, Penicillium, Powdery and Downy Mildew and many more bacteria, mold, yeast and sporulators. Jet-Ag is an excellent standalone broad spectrum fungicide for both preventative and curative fungal control and complements the performance of MBI’s Regalia, Venerate and Grandevo biological products.
