McDonald's has introduced the McCrispy, another try at selling giant Popeye-style fried chicken sandwiches, but only in Canada.
The fast-food giant describes McCrispy as a crispy chicken sandwich made with 100 percent Canadian-raised seasoned chicken and topped with shredded lettuce and creamy mayo-style sauce.
It is served on a soft potato bun.
Using "mayo-style" may be an indication that it is moving away from Popeye's model of having a giant piece of fried chicken topped with mayo and pickles.
The McCrispy patty looks more fast-food traditional.
McDonald’s also added a McCrispy Bacon variety, which adds bacon and a slice of tomato to the recipe.
