McDonald's, the renowned fast food corporation, is set to undergo significant changes to its most popular menu items, particularly its burgers. The Golden Arches revealed that their new and enhanced burgers will feature over 50 modifications.
The aim is to incorporate quality into their offerings without compromising speed and safety, according to Chris Young, McDonald's Senior Director of Global Menu Strategy, the New York Post reported.
Seven Years of Development
According to Fox News, Chef Chad Schafer, based at McDonald's headquarters in Chicago, has dedicated seven years to perfecting the new burger patties. He conducted a comparative test, crafting one double cheeseburger using the current standard method and another using the new approach. The results were remarkable, with the latter showcasing improved moisture, texture, and aroma.
After successful testing in Australia, the new burger patties are poised to roll out across the United States by early 2024. The West Coast and Midwest will be the initial regions to experience the new and improved McDonald's burgers, offering a tantalizing preview of what's to come.
Big Mac Gets a Makeover
One of McDonald's iconic menu items, the Big Mac, is also scheduled to receive a transformation. The classic two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions on a sesame seed bun will now undergo a makeover process to improve taste and presentation.
The revamped Big Mac will feature smaller batches of all-beef patties, ensuring a more uniform sear and enhanced flavor. Additionally, the secret special sauce, along with the lettuce, cheese, and pickles, will be fresher and meltier, elevating the overall taste experience. Moreover, the former sesame seed bun will be replaced with a buttery brioche, with sesame seeds randomly scattered for a homemade appearance.
A Promising Future for McDonald's Menus
McDonald's strategic menu revamp aligns with their upcoming ad campaign, promoting "our best burgers ever." With the promise of enhanced taste, quality, and consistency, customers nationwide eagerly await the arrival of McDonald's transformed menu items.
