McDonald’s Introduces Sustainable Four-Flap Packaging for McFlurries, Replacing Plastic Lids Worldwide
McDonald’s USA is set to introduce a new way for fans to enjoy one of its most beloved sweet treats. The fast-food chain is launching a miniature version for those who prefer a bite of McFlurry rather than the whole serving. This new offering also aligns with McDonald’s commitment to sustainability.
According to Fast Food Club, starting September 10, 2024, customers can order a mini-sized McFlurry at participating locations across the U.S. In addition to the new size, McDonald’s is also rolling out updated eco-friendly packaging for its McFlurry cups. The Mini and Regular McFlurries will now be served in a more sustainable four-flap cup, replacing plastic lids. This move is part of McDonald’s effort to reduce waste and source environmentally-friendly packaging by 2025.
The updated McFlurry cups are also available in international markets such as Canada and Indonesia, reflecting the company’s global sustainability efforts.
