McDonald’s Celebrates Pretty Cure’s Newest Arc with Limited-Edition Toys

McDonald’s Japan is delighting fans of the famous Pretty Cure (PreCure) series with two batches of toys to be included in their Happy Meal, known locally as the "Happy Set." Following successful collaborations with Sanrio and Pokémon, this latest partnership brings the magical girl world of Pretty Cure to life, focusing on the newest franchise arc, Wonderful Pretty Cure.

Since its debut in 2004, Pretty Cure has captured hearts across generations. McDonald’s highlights the animal-themed Wonderful Pretty Cure series for this toy lineup, releasing two waves of toys. The first batch will hit stores on October 18, followed by a second wave on October 25.

McDonald’s Japan Releases Two Waves of Pretty Cure Toys, Featuring Wands, Bracelets, and More Magical Items

The first batch of toys includes three exciting options:

  • Friendly Tact: A replica of the magical wand used by Cures Wonderful and Friendy, this 16.5 cm wand features detailed decorations and a spinning crystal showcasing protagonist Komugi. This toy is sure to capture the imaginations of young fans.
  • Komugi and Yuki Bracelets: This two-piece set features holographic stickers on the bands of the magical dog Komugi (Cure Wonderful) and cat Yuki (Cure Nyammy). Sized for children and adults, it’s a subtle nod to the franchise’s appeal across age groups.
  • Wonderful Pact: Cures Wonderful and Friendy’s transformation item allows users to cycle through six-character illustrations by sliding a strip along the compact. It even includes a clip for easy carrying, although it won’t entirely turn you into a magical girl.

The second batch, available from October 25, also brings three new toys:

Transforming Clear Comb: A clever two-way comb that features illustrations of Cures Nyammy and Lillian or their schoolgirl identities, depending on the viewing angle. It folds in half for convenient portability.

  • Kiraniko Trunk: This trunk connects the ordinary world to the magical Niko Garden in the anime. The Happy Meal toy functions as a hand mirror, complete with stickers of Cures Nyammy and Lillian to decorate the exterior.
  • Komugi Pass Case: This practical toy is a pass case for IC commuter cards, a must-have for navigating Japan’s train and bus systems. Its contoured design ensures you won’t misplace your card and includes a name card for those without a commuter pass.

Those who miss the initial releases will have a final chance to snag leftover toys starting November 1 while supplies last. Fans of Pretty Cure will want to hurry, as these limited-edition toys are likely to fly off the shelves during their brief availability.
