Meghan Markle goes back to work and Queen Elizabeth is cheering her on; How the Duchess of Sussex is fixing her blemished image

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle was on maternity leave since giving birth to Archie. This means that it has been months since she stayed away from her royal duties, but now she is officially returning to work and Queen Elizabeth was said to be cheering her on.

The Duchess’ maternity leave ends and resumes her duties

According to Us Weekly, Markle is also nervous about going back to work because she will be leaving Archie at home more often. She enjoys being with her son, so she was said to have mixed feelings about resuming with her tasks as the Duchess of Sussex.

“She loves motherhood and was nervous about leaving Archie,” the source told the magazine. “The Queen is very supportive of Meghan’s comeback.”

Meghan Markle’s first work after her maternity leave officially ends involved promoting her Smart Set fashion collection. This is a complete ensemble for working women which she personally helped in designing. The parts of the proceeds are set to be donated to Smart Works, one of the charities that the Duchess is supporting.

Meghan is fixing her tarnished image

While she is slowly returning to work as a member of the royal family, it was reported that Meghan Markle is also working on improving her image after it was heavily tarnished while she was on leave. The Duchess and former “Suits” actress was criticized for a lot of reasons starting with the renovation of the Frogmore Cottage that cost $4 million of the public’s tax money.

Next, she and Prince Harry were accused of keeping Archie away from the public when even his baptism was kept a secret from the public. The latest issue was about her travels via private jets which the people see as very luxurious and against their campaign about the green environment.

Page Six reported that Markle is likely using her family’s royal tour in South Africa to restore and improve her "tarnished image." The publication pointed noted that the Duchess only wore “cheap” outfits throughout the trip and she even left her $140,000 engagement ring at home. Lastly, she also allowed Archie to be photographed for the first time and this could earn her points, so people will love her again.
