United States First Lady Melania Trump is known for her very private nature and for her very reserved personality. A new report reveals a little bit more about her, including where she goes once a month.
The New York Times reports a little bit more about Melania’s very private life. The First Lady has often been a topic of both interest and criticism regarding what she does on the regular, which many people have tried to find out but were not as successful. Known for her very private nature, Melania remains that way all throughout her husband’s time as president. The article reveals that the First Lady goes back to New York City at least once or twice a month for “meetings and to visit a small circle of associates, including her hairstylist.”
Many have criticized how often she chose to fly from Washington to New York and back using the Air Force jet, which means thousands of dollars of taxpayer money.
Melania also does her shopping in New York. Like her predecessors, Melania pays for most of her clothes designed by Herve Pierre, who has also dressed other First Ladies like Michelle Obama, Barbara Bush, and Hillary Clinton. While Pierre has dressed Melania, he has also done anonymous shopping for her at Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, and Dior. It does not appear to be too difficult for Melania to get a designer to dress her, but many designers have spoken out regarding Donald’s policies and refuse to see her in their creations.
However, while it is a known fact that Melania and Donald do not always see eye to eye, reports also reveal just how different they are. Like many First Ladies traditionally do, Melania chose the furniture to redecorate the White House in, months before she moved. However, while she was away, Donald had already replaced the furniture with pieces he preferred instead of respecting his wife’s wishes, showing a difference in their interior tastes. Melania prefers clean and modern lines while Donald prefers much more opulent, gilded styles.
It has also been revealed that the couple does not even share the same bedroom or even the same bed, and have their own rooms in the White House.
