Mercedes-Benz debuts its third Core NFT Collection piece, the "Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons." This release offers a digital exploration of the brand's illustrious automotive journey, bridging heritage with modern digital collectibility.
The new Mercedes-Benz NFTs offer a rare opportunity for auto and digital token enthusiasts to experience the company's history. Through the collection, people can look deeper into how Mercedes-Benz started and became one of the most recognizable luxury vehicle brands.
The automaker also said that the Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons is part of its inaugural core collection called the "Maschine." This was designed to honor the concept of motion and velocity inspired by car spokes, which support the wheel's structure.
As per Crypto Plus, the Germany-based automobile maker also seeks to offer more experience by combining auto designs and the digital world. The firm shared that Gorden Wagener, its chief design officer, led the team at Mercedes-Benz to create the new digital collectibles.
The goal for making the Mercedes-Benz NXT NFTs is to reinterpret the brand's most recognizable designs through the digital "cards." The company said it will release digital tokens representing seven remarkable eras of the brand - from its foundation to the present time. Each period will house around 2,700 NFT collectibles, and Mercedes-Benz is looking to release 18,860 digital tokens across all seven periods.
The automaker said it will announce the Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons NFT release date soon. It will also post more details later, including designs and traits of each token.
Furthermore, in appreciation of fans who have followed the previous collectibles released by the company – "Maschine" and Mercedes-Benz NXT Eternities tokens – they will have a special mint pass for the "Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons."
"We are excited to announce our next core collection, Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons, which takes you on a journey through @MercedesBenz's design heritage and features icons from both the past and present," the company stated in a post on X on Wednesday, Aug. 23. "Our initial core collection, "Maschine," explored themes of motion, velocity, and perception. It was inspired by a single element of a car: spokes."
