LENEXA, Kan., April 02, 2018 -- Mi Ranchito Cocina & Cantina Mexicana was a major sponsor of the recent Prairie Auction, which raised approximately $87,000 for Prairie Elementary School in Prairie Village, Kan. The restaurant donated all of the food for the auction, which was held Feb. 24 at the Vox Theatre. Many other companies donated gifts to be auctioned, including braces and a trip to Disney World.

The annual Prairie Auction is the largest of several fundraising programs for the school. While Prairie Elementary is a public school and receives state funding, much of its programming would not be possible without community fundraising. The funds raised are used to pay for the school’s Reading Specialist, Social Worker, Spanish Teacher, Maker’s Space and Lego Robotics League, as well as other key programs and student activities.
In addition to the auction, Mi Ranchito has served as a vendor for the school’s annual 5k and Fun Run.
