Formula One legend Michael Schumacher has been such an influential icon to the racing sport that fans continue to express concern over his health six years since his official retirement from the sport.
While direct news about his health has been sparse from his family, support continues to pour overwhelmingly from his fans since his transfer to his home for continued rehabilitation. The constant fan inquiry has flooded social media platforms about Michael Schumacher's health. This has also led some sources to report invalid claims about the recovery of Schumacher.
The Schumacher family, through Michael Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, have requested that no further updates of Michael Schumacher's health be made public as they wish that information about the Formula One star's health simply be a private family matter.
Schumacher, now 49 years old, suffered a traumatic brain injury in a skiing accident back in 2013. He was put into a medically induced coma and received treatment at Lausanne University Hospital after he regained consciousness in June 2014.
Michael Schumacher is a multi-record holding Formula One driver. The records he holds include the most world championship titles, the most Grand Prix wins, the fastest laps, and the most races won in a single season. He retired back in 2006 but ended up racing again in 2010 to retire a second time in 2012.
Considering Michael Schumacher's success and eventual retirement, the Daily Star, in an interview with David Coulthard, has speculated on the possibility that rising British Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton can potentially beat the German Schumacher's Formula One career records. The 33-year-old Lewis Hamilton has already won four World Championship titles, three less than Schumacher's record and currently the highest for any British driver currently in the sport.
Should Lewis Hamilton continue to be the rising star that he is, we can potentially expect him to secure a spot in the Formula One Hall of fame in the same caliber as Michael Schumacher himself.
