Mick Schumacher, Michael Schumacher's son, just got his maiden race win at the Formula 3 European Championship race in Spa. The location and the fact that Mich Schumacher made his first race win at the track are significant to the Schumachers as Schumi himself had his first breakthrough win at Spa back in 1992. Michael Schumacher would go on to lead a record of 91 career victories after his success in Spa.

Following Mick Schumacher in a close race were PREMA Theodore Racing teammates Robert Schvartzman and Marcus Armstrong, coming in the second and third positions, respectively.

While Mick Schumacher has the distinction of gaining the Spa track win, rookie driver Marcus Armstrong is currently the lead driver in the overall FIA Formula 3 European Championship with a strong 154-point lead. British driver Dan Ticktum is just one point away from snatching the coveted first position from Armstrong. Mick Schumacher currently sits in eighth place with a comfortable 101 points.

While this places the PREMA Theodore Racing team at the top of the team ladder, with Guanyu Zhou, Ralf Aron, and Marcus Armstrong himself already taking three out of the top 4 spots in the overall standings, it will be a stiff competition amongst the drivers to gain and hold on to the first place in individual standings.

With 15 more races to go in the championship, Mick Schumacher still has enough time to catch up to the upper-ranked drivers from the eighth standing for an overall win for both team and self.

Michael Schumacher, who suffered from a debilitating brain injury sustained in a skiing accident in 2013, was last heard to be recovering in his home. His family has already requested fans to respect the family's privacy about his health and said that they will not be going public with any future news about Schumacher's recovery moving forward.
