Argentine President Javier Milei’s planned meeting with Community of Madrid President Isabel Díaz Ayuso had not been finalized Oct. 20, El País reported, as Spain prepared for a Nov. 29 general election.

Argentine presidential spokesman Adrián Ravier included the Oct. 21 appointment in Milei’s announced itinerary. An adviser to Díaz Ayuso told El País that her office had not settled the meeting.

Spain’s election decree sets the formal campaign for Nov. 13 through Nov. 27. Parliamentary records show that lawmakers rejected two housing decrees before Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez called the early vote. Sánchez said he sought a broader parliamentary majority to pursue reforms, including housing.

Ravier said Milei would participate in Nueva Economía Fórum, speak at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and meet economist Jesús Huerta de Soto. The schedule also includes a meeting with representatives of Fundación Disenso, which is linked to Vox. It lists no meeting with Sánchez.

Milei arrived in Madrid on Oct. 20, as detailed in earlier coverage of his visit. Ravier said Milei was scheduled to leave Spain on Oct. 21 and arrive in Argentina on Oct. 22.
