Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are officially single. Just eight months after tying the knot, the Australian actor filed for divorce from the “Wrecking Ball” singer.
At that time, rumors swirled that Hemsworth decided to call it quits due to Cyrus’ infidelity. However, the former child star was quick to deny the allegations.
“I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before and it remains true, I love Liam and always will,” she tweeted.
On Tuesday, a Los Angeles judge finalized the former couple’s divorce. Since Cyrus and Hemsworth don’t have any kids, they didn’t seek spousal support from each other.
In their joint divorce statement, the former couple said that they will continue to co-parent the animals that they share.
Meanwhile, the finalization of Cyrus and Hemsworth’s divorce came just weeks after Heat published a bogus story about the “We Can’t Stop” singer still obsessing over her ex-husband.
The tabloid alleged that Cyrus is just using her boyfriend, Cody Simpson. But the truth is that she still hasn’t gotten over Hemsworth.
“She’s not fooling anyone with these PDAs and phony social media posts, which always come right after Liam’s been in the news. Miley’s watching him like a hawk, not just online but through mutual friends, too. When she gets drunk or stoned, she’ll talk about how he was the love of her life and there’s a big part of her that’s struggling to let go,” an unnamed source told the publication.
The insider went as far as saying that no one thinks Cyrus and Simpson’s relationship would last. After all, they just started dating out of nowhere and shortly after Cyrus was linked to Kaitlynn Carter.
However, Simpson said on “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” that his relationship with Cyrus is going strong. In fact, the Australian singer also said that he doesn’t have any complaints about their relationship because Cyrus has been amazing.
