“Money Heist” season 4 was quickly renewed just a week after the third season premiere July 19. This is evidence that the Spanish television series is a big hit that even if it is a foreign language show, people around the world still watch it.
This is why Netflix did not hesitate to renew “Money Heist” that is also known as “La Casa de Papel.” With its high viewership records, it truly deserved another season and now it is already on its fourth.
Confirmation of season 5
There is even more good news as it was reported that while fans are still waiting for the “Money Heist” season 4, the fifth season is already in the works as well. The crime drama created by Álex Pina has been gaining more followers thus it has received another green light from the streaming giant.
According to the report, the “Money Heist” season 4 director Jesus Colmenar and actor Pedro Alonso (The Professor) attended the International Film Festival of the Andalusian City last year and they spilled some details with regards to the future of the show.
The director and cast member revealed some exclusives about the “Money Heist” season 4 and that was how they confirmed that the fifth installment is also underway. And this is not all as Colmenar further mentioned that there will be a spin-off as well.
He divulged that the spin-off would feature one of the original “Money Heist” main characters but did not say who. The director did not mention the character because he jokingly said it is an information “that would cost us our lives.”
“We have all known the responsibility of what we had in our hands and we have managed to continue with our feet on the ground and not be dragged which is very good in terms of personal growth,” Alonso added.
The filming has ended
In any case, the filming for “Money Heist” season 4 has ended already but Netflix has yet to reveal its premiere date. But while this is the case, a cast member went ahead and spilled the date before the streaming site can make an announcement. Rodrigo de la Serna (Palermo) said that their drama will arrive in January 2020.
