HERNDON, Va., Nov. 06, 2017 -- For the second consecutive year, ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT) has been named the “Best Company for Veterans” by Monster.com, a global online employment solution. Out of 10 companies selected as finalists for the honor, ManTech holds the #1 slot for veteran hiring and retention practices.
“ManTech has a longstanding commitment to hiring former members of the U.S. military, and we are proud that nearly half of our more than 7,000 employees are veterans,” said Jeff Brody, Chief Human Resources Officer at ManTech. “These brave men and women come with tremendous operational expertise, total commitment in the face of any challenge, and dedication to meeting the mission, learned in service to their country.”
"This year’s winner, ManTech, stood out in a very competitive field with an impressive 64% veteran hiring rate for 2017,” said Jodi Hon, SVP and GM of enterprise business for Monster, “and they are also leading the way with stated annual goals to exceed the previous year’s numbers and increase their veteran hiring year over year. This is a policy that we look forward to seeing emulated at other companies.”
A panel of experts with military experience and expertise reviewed nominees for Monster.com’s “Best Company for Veterans” ranking. Criteria for selection included a company’s percentage of new veteran hires and of total workforce, retention rates, current and future recruitment programs, special programs for onboarding and development, and other factors that demonstrate a company’s commitment to American veterans.
With veterans comprising 46% of its employees, and numerous programs dedicated to the recruitment, onboarding, development and retention of veterans, ManTech scored high across the board.
