The “Mortal Kombat 11” team recently showcased its Kombat Kast that revealed some significant changes coming into the game in the near future. Among the things that have been touched upon is the different variations that have been given to all the fighters.
However, there were only a handful of “Mortal Kombat 11” characters that have been highlighted in the video. They are Shang Tsung, Frost, Johnny Cage, Jax, Sub-Zero, and Liu Kang.
Shang Tsung loses all of his Shang Tsung moves but gets to keep his straight skull ability. In exchange, the “Mortal Kombat 11” developers gave him all the ninja moves, drastically altering his playstyle in an attempt to spice up the meta.
Mortal Kombat 11 will give frost an amplified overdrive move
On the other hand, Frost will have a Dive Bomb move. She also has these straight projectiles for high and low attacks, both of which no longer tracks enemies as opposed to the earlier version. Lastly, “Mortal Kombat 11” players will be able to use an overdrive move that enhances her beam attacks.
What’s more, if the overdrive gets enhanced, a timer starts to tick that will explode after it runs out, resulting in opponents getting frozen. However, the timer can be canceled if Frost is hit, forcing opponents to engage Frost lest they want to get punished. Suffice to say that the meta of “Mortal Kombat 11” will be shifted with this addition.
Moving on, Johnny Cage has been given with a new variation of fireballs that has a lower arch compared to the previous versions. He’ll also get a superfast uppercut that can be used to catch opponents off guard. Meanwhile, “Mortal Kombat 11” developers have given Jax a few spicy upgrades.
Jax gets jacked in upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 update
For starters, Jax gets an amplified ground pound that sends opponents up the air. He also has a new combo that ends with a superman punch, which is a high. This is a great addition since the old combo that ends in an overhead blow is still in “Mortal Kombat 11.” What this means is that players can use the combo to keep the opponent guessing, whether the combo will end with a high or a low. The last for Jax is an arm clap that can actually pop opponents in the air if the firearms are dialed to a maximum.
The rest can be viewed in the link below, which starts at 20:00. As can be expected, the community has received the updates with varying opinions and the final verdict will arrive once the new “Mortal Kombat 11” update rolls out. When that will be is anyone’s guess since the developers are keeping a tight lid on the matter for the time being.
