Most Asian markets in green ahead of FOMC rate decision, gold slightly down

All the major Asian indices were trading on a higher note on Wednesday. The main event for the day is FOMC rate decision and statements. Gold was trading around $1,247 mark while silver was trading around $16.38 mark.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading 0.51 pct higher at 20,056.20 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.08 percent higher at 26,868.72 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.31 pct lower at 2,432.81 points.

Taiwan stock was trading 0.13 pct lower at 10,449.43 points.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 was trading 0.94 pct higher at 5,780.20 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.17 percent higher at 9,981.50 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.12 percent higher at 32,268.17 points.

Shanghai composite index to open flat at 3,244.46 points and China's CSI300 index to open up 0.1 pct at 3,722.88 points
