Musinsa Co. Ltd. and Walt Disney Co. have teamed up for an exclusive release of a fashion collection featuring Disney characters. The South Korean online fashion shopping platform signed a deal with the Korean unit of the entertainment company for brand collaboration.
As per The Korea Economic Daily, Musinsa started adding Disney collaborative collections on its platform on Thursday, April 27. At least 14 different brands that have Disney designs, such as Grove, Mmlg, Dunst, Lee, Discus Athletic, Critic, Yes I See, Soundslife, Travel, and RoanJane kids, were launched on Musinsa’s online store.
Accessory products from brands like W. Dressroom, 1507, and Catchball were also uploaded. Shoppers will find many fashion items, especially shoes and clothing pieces, with the famous Disney characters.
Likewise, the collection features unique designs that express Walt Disney's famous characters. These were also created based on the concept and identity of each of the 14 fashion brands. Fans of Mickey Mouse, Monsters University, and more would all be happy to find items that are fashionable and go well with their styles.
With the launch of Disney and the collaborative brands on Musinsa, the online marketplace prepared an event that will run until May 10. To celebrate the partnership, customers who will buy the Disney items are given a chance to win tickets for Disney’s live-action musical movie "The Little Mermaid." Musinsa will pick 70 winners, which will be announced after the draw.
Meanwhile, Musinsa also launched its new makeup brand last week. The cosmetics label has been named “Oddtype,” and it will offer vegan-certified makeup products. The company is targeting the young MZ Generation for its new business line.
Musinsa has been established in 2001, and it has become a prominent online fashion site. It grew and continues to draw new customers. Today, it has 10 million membership users, and yearly transactions have exceeded the KRW3 trillion or $2.26 billion mark.
