“My Hero Academia” chapter 282 will pick up directly from the events of last week. Deku enters full-on rage mode as he continues to fight Shigaraki. Meanwhile, the villain successfully lands a Quirk-destroying bullet on Aizawa, but the hero pulls off a surprising move to (partially) save himself.
‘My Hero Academia’ chapter 282 spoilers
One of the last scenes from last week was Shigaraki pulling out a bullet infused with the Quirk-destroying drug and throws it toward Aizawa’s direction. As the object’s name suggests, it can instantly destroy someone’s Quirk, and the whereabouts of the only antidote is quite uncertain at this point.
One of the leaked panels of “My Hero Academia” chapter 282 shows the bullet landing on Aizawa’s lower right leg. It immediately works and shows that its impact was powerful enough to twist the hero’s limb. Aizawa, upon realizing what is happening, remembers a memory he has with Eri and thinks that she helped him become a more rational person.
Aizawa then grabs his knife to cut off his leg above where the bullet hit. This suggests that Aizawa is unlikely to completely lose his Quirk in “My Hero Academia” chapter 282. While losing a leg would still drastically change his life from this point, it should not entirely stop him from being a hero.
Meanwhile, as this happens to Aizawa, Deku continues his barrage of attacks against Shigaraki. He was already agitated after what Shigaraki did to Gran Torino, the attack on Aizawa will only add to that rage. The “My Hero Academia” chapter 282 leaks also indicate that Todoroki arrives at the battlefield launching and immediately charges at Shigaraki to protect Aizawa.
In the earlier part of the chapter, Deku thinks about using One For All 100% on Shigaraki. He will later use this attack combined with the Blackwhip, but it will not lead them anywhere close to defeating Shigaraki in “My Hero Academia” chapter 282.
Beyond ‘My Hero Academia’ chapter 282: Gigantomachia is coming
“My Hero Academia” chapter 282 will also give an update on other parts of the city. A government official will appear in a video message telling people to quickly evacuate because of an unknown entity wreaking havoc in several towns. Later, Gigantomachia appears walking in a seemingly peaceful town.
The chapter also reportedly ends by telling fans this chaos is not over. With the cryptic update on Giganto, it would not be surprising if he ends up reuniting with Shigaraki soon after “My Hero Academia” chapter 282.
‘My Hero Academia’ chapter 282 release date, where to read
Luckily, Weekly Shonen Jump and the series itself are not having a break. This means “My Hero Academia” chapter 282 will be released as regularly scheduled on Monday, Aug. 31. The free English digital copy will be released on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump’s websites and mobile apps.
