MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., March 28, 2016 -- Pro Football Legends, the commercial marketing arm of the NFL Alumni Association, has formed an agreement with ArmadaHealth to offer TopDoc Connect, a service that objectively guides members to the most appropriate specialty care, to all NFL Alumni members and their immediate families.
TopDoc Connect allows NFL Alumni members, along with their spouses and dependents, to gain access to the best specialty care physicians with proven expertise to treat their specific condition, whether they have a condition affecting their quality of life or are facing a life-threatening diagnosis.
"Health and wellness is our top priority, and we're proud to provide this unique, personalized specialty care program to our members," said Joe Pisarcik, President and CEO of NFL Alumni. "We currently have Teladoc, a telemedicine service that can replace a visit to a primary care physician available to our player members. Being able to give our members TopDoc Connect, a service they can use when they need specialty care, is a great one-two punch."
"Navigating from primary care to specialty care is fraught with potential problems that can result in poor quality care and higher costs," said Steve Schaefer, Partner and Practice Leader of ArmadaHealth. "With our proprietary physician-patient matching platform, members get to the right specialists for their particular condition, which allows them to get on the path to better health as quickly as possible."
Developed by the leading minds in medicine, TopDoc Connect has an exclusive process to identify and credential top physicians. They then objectively match members' unique needs and diagnoses to the best specialists with the right expertise and then help facilitate access to those top specialists.
NFL Alumni members interested in enrolling in TopDoc Connect should visit www.nflalumni.org/TopDoc to register. The NFL Alumni Association is providing TopDoc Connect to all active members at no additional cost.
TopDoc Connect joins the NFL Alumni Association roster of health and wellness related membership benefit programs from companies such as Teladoc, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, LabCorp, LA Fitness, LightForce Therapy Lasers, American Hearing Benefits, and more.
Former NFL players, coaches, staff, cheerleaders, and fans can learn about the benefits of NFLA membership and join the Association by visiting www.nflalumni.org/join or by contacting Member Services at 877-258-6635 or [email protected].
