(NASDAQ:NXPI) today announced that Clarivate Analytics, formerly the Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters, has listed NXP – for the second time in a row – in its highly anticipated list of 2017 Top 100 Global Innovators. The report honors the most successful organizations in the world determined through innovative research and development, protection of Intellectual Property and achieving commercial success.
NXP was selected, among other attributes, for its strong patent portfolio, which currently includes more than 9,000 patent families. In 2017 alone, the company was granted over 1,500 individual national patents and over 4,000 other national patent applications are in progress.
