‘New Girl’ Season 6, Episode 11 Spoilers: “Raisin’s Back” – Nick Adjusts to Reagan’s Return; Cece, Winston Challenge Schmidt’s Musical Taste

‘New Girl’ Season 6’s episode 11, titled “Raisin’s Back,” is set to follow Nick as he adjusts to the return of Reagan in the loft. Meanwhile, Cece and Winston will team up to challenge Schmist’s musical taste, specifically with electronic music.

The synopsis for episode 11 posted on Spoiler TV reads, “When Reagan (Megan Fox) moves into the loft, Nick (Jake Johnson) tries to "play it cool." Meanwhile, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) embarks on a soul-searching journey when Cece (Hannah Simone) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) challenge his love of electronic dance music.

The preceding episode before the mid-season break, titled "Christmas Eve Eve," featured the return of Fox’s Reagan on the series after Jess (Zooey Deschanel) asked her to come over as her last-minute gift for Nick. Reagan traipsed back into the roomates’ lives dressed in a sexy Santa Costume as she joined in the festivities, according to Bustle.

It seems that Reagan will be staying longer than expected as she reunites with her boyfriend after being away in New Orleans for work. It remains unclear how long Fox will be appearing on the show and how her character’s storyline will affect Nick and Jess’ friendship in the long run.

Executive producer Dave Finkel explained during a previous interview that although Jess still has feelings for Nick, she’s too good of a friend break his relationship with Reagan. Finkel said, “That’s always going to be in the back of her mind, but the thing with Nick is she’s living under the umbrella of, if things are going well with Nick and he’s happy with Reagan, she’s not going to be the one to tear them apart… She puts friendship first.”

In the promotional photographs for the incoming episode, Jess and Reagan are seen sharing some shots as Reagan is assimilated back into the loft. It seems that the two will find a way to cohabit and even befriend each other.

Meanwhile, Cece and Winston are set to challenge Schmidt’s love for electronic dance music. Schmidt has been adjusting to Cece and Winston’s friendship and inside-jokes although he didn’t seem comfortable with it at first.

‘New Girl’ Season 6’s episode 11, titled “Raisin’s Back,” is scheduled to air on Fox on January 3, 2017. It was directed by Dana Fox and written by Eliot Glazer. It will be followed by episode 12, titled “Cubicle,” scheduled for January 10, 2017.
