MT. CARMEL and CHICAGO, Ill., Nov. 07, 2017 -- Just six months after new owner Right Lane Industries LLC, acquired the Mt. Carmel, Illinois-based metal-forming equipment manufacturer and services provider — Pacific Press Technologies will mount its one of its most-important showings ever in the company’s 70-year history at the industry’s leading tradeshow, FABTECH 2017, Booth A3896. Pacific is launching its Blaise family of servo-hydraulic press brakes, and will premiere a Blaise 175-ton-reg (12-foot ram) model at the show. FABTECH 2017, North America’s largest metal-forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing event, runs November 6 to 9, 2017 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
“I did a lot of listening before I bought Pacific,” said Right Lane Industries CEO Eric Mara. “I had much to learn about the industry, its products — the wide range of customers it serves. At the core of Pacific are great engineers and service technicians. They are problem solvers who listen, collect data, analyze the problem, determine root cause – and apply its great technology to deliver practical solution specific to each customer’s particular business needs. That’s what made the company so attractive.”
Mara continued, “Whether you’re talking to an owner of a mid-size fab shop or the production lead in charge of lean manufacturing at a multi-national corporation, they have the same kind of headaches and concerns: it’s getting harder to recruit and retain skilled workers and in today’s competitive market, how do I improve efficiency, protect the safety of my workers and my business, create a high-quality product — all while lowering costs?”
To date, Pacific has been known for the unparalleled quality and longevity of its 1,000+ ton, custom-built machines and its stellar service team, which is always there for customers and responsive to their needs.
“But frankly, to many customers, we’ve been out of reach,” Mara explained. “The folks I’ve talked to say of course they dream of owning a Pacific, but they’ve neither time nor budget for a custom machine. The market has been crying out for a configurable, low-tonnage press brake that delivers the exacting bend tolerances and rugged reliability of a custom Pacific. That was the product-development goal of the Blaise family of servo-hydraulic press brakes.”
Tim Johnson, Pacific’s president, commented, “We’re very excited by our first major product launch under the ‘new’ Pacific. We have a new logo, but the same unyielding dedication to customer needs. And thanks to Eric’s infusion of capital and energy, we have more exciting product-development plans in the pipeline.”
Features of new Blaise family of Servo-hydraulic brake presses include:
- Modular, lubeless gibbing assembly — for low maintenance, worry-free operations & dramatically less downtime
- Trunnion-mounted cylinders — for longer, more-accurate bends up to the full length of the ram
- Two-stage ram drop speed — to reduce bending time, shortening higher-quantity runs
- Standard tooling attachments and quick-change tooling compatibility — to accommodate changing needs as manufacturing processes improve
- 3D Delem CNC controller on an 180º pendant arm — to let users work efficiently; no more wasted time walking back and forth from bend point to controls
- A multi-axis back gauge (up to five axes) — to enhance the reproducibility & efficiency of production runs
- The longest frame warranty in the industry
