Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban: Couple reportedly adopting a child after their failure to conceive

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are parents to two daughters, but according to reports, they still want to have another child since they don’t have a son yet. The pair tried to conceive, but as their attempts have always been a failure, they allegedly decided to just adopt.

The baby adoption plans

As per Globe, Nicole and Keith tried to conceive through IVF treatment as the actress is over 50 years old already. They want a son, but the former was most affected when the treatment did not work for them to have another baby. Seeing how disappointed her wife was, the country singer reportedly approached his wife and suggested that they can adopt, and she was visibly thrilled.

“Nicole was heartbroken that she wasn’t able to get pregnant after many years of trying and going through IVF,” the source supposedly told the magazine. “Nicole has always thought adoption was a beautiful way to create and expand a family, and there are so many children in need of a good home.”

Besides, adoption is not new to Nicole as two of her children from her first marriage with Tom Cruise were both adopted. Her second child with Keith Urban is her biological daughter, but she was delivered through a surrogate.

“They’re looking for a boy from newborn age to three years old,” the source added. “Keith’s been desperate to have a son so this is the logical way to do it!”

A son to patch things up?

It was previously reported that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban hit a rough patch, but things got better between them. The pair are allegedly drifting apart because of their respective busy schedules, but when the actress gave way and temporarily halted her career to have time with her husband, they were able to fix their relationship.

As they got closer again after spending quality time, they think that having a son will complete the picture. The source further shared that the husband and wife just can’t wait to have a son, and their two daughters are also excited to have a baby brother.

Gossip Cop stated that the report has many holes, and it includes the fact that Nicole Kidman already said before that if she and Keith only met when they were younger, she thinks they would have more kids, but right now, she is happy with their family as it is.

They are clearly don’t have plans to expand their family by having a son through adoption. Also, after contacting Keith Urban’s reps for comments, his side also denied the rumors by saying, “Whatever they report, you can pretty much assume is made-up.”
