The last quarter of every year is often the best time to purchase video games, thanks to a series of sale events that conclude with holiday season offers. Nintendo Switch players are also in luck because even AAA game developers have applied discounts to their popular titles on the portable console.
Nintendo Switch deals: 2 popular Blizzard games are on sale until next year
“Overwatch” has been one of the most popular titles that Blizzard Entertainment released in recent years. Anyone who has only started playing video games may want to take advantage of the Nintendo Switch sale that brings the Legendary Edition’s price down to $29.99. Players who will open the game on or before Dec. 31 will be rewarded with a Golden Loot Box that has one sure Legendary item.
Blizzard’s “Diablo 3” Eternal Collection edition is also on sale now for $39.99 after a $20 discount. This bundle comes with the “Reaper of Souls” expansion and the “Rise of the Necromancer” DLC that features 7 classes and 5 acts. Blizzard’s Nintendo Switch sale is live until Jan. 6, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. PT.
Nintendo Switch holiday sale: Capcom offers more discounted titles but for a shorter time only
Capcom has a much longer list of games on sale with up to 75 percent discount. Several “Resident Evil” titles headline the sale, including the first installment of the series for only $14.99 after a 50 percent price cut. “RE 0” and “RE 4” is on sale for $14.99 and $19.99, respectively, instead of their regular price of $29.99. “RE Revelations” games are also available for only $9.99.
More classic video game titles from Capcom are also on sale right now for Nintendo Switch players. Up to 50 percent discounts are applied to numerous “Mega Man” games and to the “Street Fighter” 30th Anniversary Edition. The latter is a collection of 12 “Street Fighter” installments from the fighting game series.
The first and second “Devil May Cry” games are also included in the holiday deals for $14.99 after a $5 discount. It should be noted, however, that Capcom Nintendo Switch deals are only live until Sunday, Dec. 29, at 11:59 p.m. PT.
