Things will be pretty intense and exciting for everyone especially for the characters of the hit TV series ‘Once Upon A Time”. With the last episode showing Hook being trapped in the underworld after a heroic stint he just did, Emma, Regina, Mary Margaret, David, Robin, Henry and Gold decides to go and explore the Underworld in the hopes of saving Hook and getting him back to Storybrooke.
Showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis explained to The Hollywood Reporter that fans should expect the Underworld to look like Storybrooke in some circumstances. "The rules of the underworld - what it means to be there, whether you can leave, how you can leave, where you go - will be explained by Cora," they said.
The explanation behind why the Underworld will look the way it is, is because of the connection of the people that will be visiting the place. It also resides some of the souls of the dead who still have unfinished business and will surely make their trip more difficult than it already is. Because of this, fans can expect tension and conflict to arise as the group traverses through the Underworld.
Here is the synopsis for the upcoming episode according to Spoiler TV titled "Souls of the Departed" reads, "Emma, Regina, Mary Margaret, David, Robin, Henry and Gold arrive in the Underworld, on a mission to rescue Hook, only to discover that their search will be more difficult than they had anticipated. The inhabitants of the Underworld — all souls with unfinished business and many with quite personal vendettas — hound our heroes at every turn."
Alongside these avenging souls will be the ruler of the Underworld Hades who will be played by Greg Germann. His look is reminiscent of the animated Disney movie, "Hercules," complete with the flaming blue hair and Kitsis hinted that he might have a connection with one of the cast.
