After waiting for several weeks, fans will finally see Luffy and Law reunite in “One Piece” chapter 918. Meanwhile, Tama’s Devil Fruit will also be used in this chapter, helping them escape from the Beasts Pirates.
Luffy’s one-hit Red Hawk successfully puts Holdem to sleep in “One Piece” chapter 918. Luffy then grabs Tama and they run as fast as they can so they will not be swarmed by all the Beasts Pirates around. While escaping, Luffy rides on the headliner Speed thinking she is a real horse.
Before Speed can throw Luffy and Tama into the air, Luffy instructs Tama to produce a Devil Fruit from her cheeks to feed and tame Speed. Tama is reluctant, thinking it would not work since Speed is half human. But it turns out to be effective and Speed becomes Luffy and Tama’s "ride" out of Bakura in “One Piece” chapter 918.
On their way out, Luffy finds Law at the entrance to Bakura. Law expresses disappointment with all the mess the Straw Hats have done in Wano. As for Law’s encounter with Hawkins, the Heart Pirates chief later confirms his identity to Hawkins. However, no major battle between Hawkins and Law will ensue in “One Piece” chapter 918.
Hawkins, while confronting Law in “One Piece” chapter 918, calmly assumes that the Heart Pirates and Straw Hats united and planned to invade Wano. In fact, at one point, it seems like Hawkins remained calm even after realizing that Holdem was defeated.
Meanwhile, Luffy and Zoro also bring the ship full of clean water and food to the starving people in Okobore. Without any headliner of Beasts Pirates to stop them, the Okobore villagers are fed with decent food for the first time in “One Piece” chapter 918, thanks to Luffy.
“One Piece” chapter 918 also contains a very sentimental moment between Luffy and Tama. While running away from Bakura, Tama tells Luffy that he reminds her of Ace. While resting and eating at Okobore, Luffy makes a promise to Tama that by the time he leaves, the people of Wano will be able to eat as much as they want. A memory of Ace then appears in the manga before Tama breaks down with tears of joy.
On the other hand, a lot of action is yet to go down in Wano arc. Before “One Piece” chapter 918 ends, Law tells Luffy and Zoro about the Ghosts of the Wano Country. Meanwhile, one of the Beasts Pirates also mentions of calling Jack the Drought, which hints that an even more powerful enemy is yet to arrive. “One Piece” chapter 918 will be officially released on Sept. 22.
