“One Piece” Chapter 920 is shaping the arc nicely with a rare element added to the plot. This rare addition came in the form of time travel, something that is uncommon in the series.
While this blindsided a lot of readers, there are also many of them who had speculated on a time-traveling plotline, Otaku Art reported. One of the signs that hinted at this is Momonosuke’s parentage. The 8-year-old is supposed to be the son of Lord Oden and it was revealed that the character traveled 20 years into the future to escape death. “One Piece” Chapter 920 will expound on this time-traveling plot while also pitting a major character against one of the Disasters.
Zoro is speculated to face Jack, a member of the Beasts Pirates who had a run-in with the Straw Hats in the past. The last time the two characters saw each other was when the Mammoth sunk during the Zou Arc. While Zoro has been portrayed as an exceptional swordsman, taking Jack by himself in “One Piece” Chapter 920 will be a tall order.
But this encounter is also a great opportunity for the writers to show how powerful Zoro really is. While Luffy already had two fights which came dangerously close to claiming his life, Zoro hasn’t actually been put in a situation that would unveil the true limits of the character’s skills. Even Brook, Nami, and Chopper all fought for their lives at one point but Zoro hasn’t really been pinned against someone who pushed him to his capacity. Will Jack be able to achieve this in “One Piece” Chapter 920?
Fans are hoping that he will, especially with how powerful the Mammoth’s captain is. As for the time-traveling plot, it’s still unclear who is responsible for the time jump. The safest speculation at this point is that a character has a Devil Fruit capable of sending people to the future, with the most likely candidate being Oden’s Wife. Whatever the case, “One Piece” Chapter 920 is set to shed some light on these when it is released on Oct. 6.
