The relationship between Eustass Kid and Luffy is expected to be the focus in “One Piece” Chapter 927, with the duo potentially getting the Dressrosa treatment. Fans of the series will remember how the Straw Hats came through for Law during that arc, in which, the two pirate groups became quite close. Kid might just get the same level of development in the upcoming chapter.
The way that the dynamic between Luffy and Kid was presented in the previous chapter shows that the two are intended to get along. They are certainly part of the next generation of pirates that are making their own mark in the world. In “One Piece” Chapter 927, Oda might be setting them up to become the new BFFs of the Wano arc.
In terms of narrative development, this particular route is predictable in that it will follow the same pattern that was presented when Law and Luffy fought Doflamingo. After all, it was with the combined efforts of the pair that the string manipulator was actually defeated. Kaido might be defeated by Luffy and Kid working together, though, “One Piece” Chapter 927 likely won’t show this.
If not, Kid might at least join the alliance that includes the Straw Hats and the samurais that Kinemon has assembled. Whatever the case may be, it’s clear that the captured pirate will play a major role in part two of the Wano arc. If ever Luffy and Kid become best friends in “One Piece” Chapter 927, however, this should prove to be quite interesting when Law finds out.
After all, Law has unofficially become Luffy’s BFF outside of his own crew. Once “One Piece” Chapter 927 releases on Dec. 9, will this still be the case or will Kid replace him in the future pirate king’s heart? Stick around to find out.
