“One Piece” Episode 864 is going to be the climax of the Big Mom arc wherein the Straw Hats are finally confronted by an enraged pirate emperor who seems bent on destroying them. Unfortunately, viewers will have to wait a little bit longer to see the conclusion of this arc due to “Dragon Ball Super” being forced down their throats.
The original air date of “One Piece” Episode 864 was supposed to be this week, but thanks to the one-hour special for “Dragon Ball Super,” this has been moved to next week. As such, instead of enjoying how Big Mom will show how she could easily wipe out the Straw Hats, viewers will be treated to DBZ characters being ridiculous.
From the point of view of fans, “One Piece” Episode 864 getting delayed is an annoyance that is hardly justified by the airing of a special episode from another anime. This is especially the case if they don’t actually like “Dragon Ball Super” and would prefer to see the Big Mom arc come closer to its conclusion. Unfortunately, this is just the case right now.
On that note, it’s still worth looking forward to “One Piece” Episode 864 because it is where the climax of the current arc is finally hitting its high note. This is where Big Mom lands on the Sunny and where she is poised to unleash her most devastating attack yet. For anyone who has ever wondered if the pirate emperor had anything other than her size going for her, this is the answer.
“One Piece” Episode 864 is set to air on Dec. 2 instead of this week, so fans will simply have to look out for that date. Viewers will want to keep the new schedule in mind to see what will happen next.
