Teasers for “One Piece” episode 888 suggest that the next episode is going to focus on revealing the whereabouts of Bartholomew Kuma and what will Sabo do about it. Meanwhile, it is also interesting to point out that the anime is coming very close to the start of Wano Country arc — the ongoing storyline in the manga series.
Many events are happening at once in the source material for “One Piece” episode 888. However, the short video preview indicates that next week’s episode will focus on the members of the Revolutionary Army and what their reactions will be upon learning of Kuma’s situation.
As fans may recall, members of the Revolutionary Army have successfully infiltrated the Mary Geoise as preparations for the Levely take place. They might have to take a little detour from their original plan in “One Piece” episode 888 as Sabo becomes extremely angered at what happened to Kuma.
Kuma used to be the ruler of the Sorbet Kingdom that is a known ally to the World Government. That makes what the nobles did to Kuma even more offensive.
Sabo will want to rescue Kuma, but the latter has been modified as a puppet. It makes the revolutionaries question whether or not he is still worth saving in “One Piece” episode 888.
Anime fans may have also noticed “Connie” sneaking to the domain of the World Nobles. Her timing is just right to witness Rosward boasting about renting Kuma as his slave in “One Piece” episode 888, airing on Sunday, June 9. Rosward demonstrates to Charlos how he can command Kuma, a sight that will agitate Connie forcing her to reveal her real identity that is Jewelry Bonney.
Meanwhile, the manga chapter where “One Piece” episode 888 is based is actually the final installment before Wano arc officially starts. This is not strange as there were previous cases in the franchise where the anime and manga series share the same arc.
