'One Piece' Season 2 Release Date, Cast, Spoilers and Theories: Everything We Know About This Netflix Live-Action Series

Here is everything we know about the upcoming "One Piece" Season 2.

Live-action adaptations are notorious for failing to fulfill the standards of the anime or manga on which they are based. Netflix appears to have broken the curse with the live-action rendition of the Straw Hat group and their hilarious exploits. Hence, it comes as no surprise that the streaming behemoth confirmed “One Piece” Season 2.

Created by Eiichiro Oda, one of the best-selling manga series of all time has made its way to Netflix with the live-action version, which breaks the curse of anime titles brought to small screens by debuting at the top of the charts in 84 countries worldwide. Here is everything we know so far about the forthcoming “One Piece” Season 2.

One Piece’ Season 2 Release Date

There is no set release date for “One Piece” Season 2, per Variety. The Straw Hat gang is going to set sail once more, as none other than Eiichiro Oda announced that “One Piece” Season 2 is, in fact, making its way to the small screens. Oda praised the fans for their support and love for the program and expressed hope for the same when the imminent second installment premieres.

If all goes as planned for the series' production, filming might begin in February 2024, and the series could be released sooner than projected. In reality, the production might take anything from a year to 18 months. As a result, “One Piece” Season 2 could debut around mid-2025.

One Piece’ Season 2 Cast

Netflix's “One Piece” introduces an unusual cast to the live-action stage, and they will almost certainly return in “One Piece” Season 2, including Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Colton Osorio as young Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Lily Fisher as young Nami, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Maximilian Lee Piazza as young Zoro, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Kevin Saula as young Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Christian Convery as young Sanji, Vincent Regan as Marines Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp, Jeff Ward as Buggy the Clown, and Morgan Davies as Koby.

Peter Gadiot as Shanks, Langley Kirkwood as Axe Hand Morgan, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, and Steven Ward as Mihawk, are also slated to return for “One Piece” Season 2. As Eiichiro Oda teased in his presentation video, a new character would undoubtedly appear in “One Piece” Season 2. In the clip, he drew Chopper, hinting at the character's appearance as the show moves into the following arc, the Arabasta Saga.

One Piece’ Season 2 Spoilers and Theories

Before the official confirmation of “One Piece” Season 2, the first season concluded with Luffy defeating Arlong and liberating a nearby village. The Marines arrive as the Straw Hat crew celebrates their triumph over Arlong and the Fishman Pirates, and Garp gets to chat with his grandson about the latter's desire to become a pirate. Luffy's goal is realized as he receives his very own bounty poster with a 30 million berry bounty on his head, and Smoker appears as he destroys one of Luffy's bounty posters. Shanks is also still alive, commemorating Luffy's first bounty poster.

Per EpicFlix, “One Piece” Season 2 could delve deeper into the Arabasta Saga, and the tale can continue for another hundred chapters until Chapter 218. The Arabasta Saga of One Piece, based on Eiichiro Oda's manga series, is also known as the Baroque Works Saga and is the second saga of the source material.

It is about the Straw Hat Crew entering the Grand Line and meeting the wat Laboon, then proceeding to Whisky Peak where the Baroque works, a criminal organization of bounty hunters posing a huge threat to the Desert nation of Arabasta, created by Warlord Crocodile in his efforts to conquer the kingdom and obtain the Pluton, an ancient superweapon. They will encounter Nefartari Vivi, a princess of Arabasta, where a conflict is looming due to the head of Baroque Works. Chopper is also likely to join the crew in the upcoming “One Piece” Season 2.
