“One Piece” chapter 967 is coming this week after weeks of delay. Apparently, the manga series’ release date has been moved to a later time due to the holiday period. But then, the waiting time is finally over as the short break is ending in a few days.
A brief rehash of the last episode
“One Piece” chapter 966 was released on Dec. 22, and it showed Whitebeard and Gol. D Roger’s battle. They clashed due to the valuable finds that each camp is claiming to be theirs.
In the end, the fight was settled amicably after Roger and WB decided to divide the loot. The battle ran for three days before they stopped, so it can be said that many were already injured or have died prior to their settlement.
Still, it was a good thing that they finally ended the conflict. The two pirate leaders also made a deal to have Oden. Roger expressed his desire to travel with Oden, but he is with WB, so the future King Pirate tried to make a deal. He told WB that he would just borrow Oden for a year, and luckily, WB agreed.
“One Piece” chapter 967 also showed Roger’s determination to have Oden with him as he travels. He even bowed down to Oden so he would join him, and this worked. The two eventually began their journey with Oden transcribing Poneglyphs for Roger.
What to expect in the next chapter
As said before, “One Piece,” chapter 967 will be about Oden and Roger. They will reach many islands and land on Whole Cake to steal Big Mom’s Poneglyph. The happenings in the present time with Luffy, Zorro, and the straw hat pirates are expected to return once the backstory on how Oden died and Roger becoming the King Pirate ends.
Release date
Finally, “One Piece” chapter 967 will be out on Jan. 5, as per Otakukart. It should be noted that raw scans have been released today, so there will be lots of spoilers available online. No more delay is expected, so this chapter is arriving on time for sure.
