‘One Piece’ chapter 974 release date, spoilers: Traitor revealed and it's one of the Nine Red Scabbards!

“One Piece” chapter 974 has not yet officially released but a couple of spoilers have already been doing their rounds online. The biggest reveal in the upcoming chapter will be the identity of the traitor and, as fans previously suspected, it is a member of Oden’s retainers.

However, it seems that fans have been suspecting the wrong member of the Nine Red Scabbards all along. According to “One Piece” chapter 974 spoilers from Reddit, it will be Kanjuro who will reveal himself as the traitor.

The revelation will shock those who close to him. “Stop joking around, all of us were almost executed in a boiling pot!” Kinemon would react according to the scan’s unofficial translations.

However, Kanjuro will confirm in “One Piece” 947 that it’s not a joke and that he is indeed the traitor. “Yes that's right, and it's precisely because I'd have died with you all that I was able to fulfill the perfect role!,” Kanjuro will say. “Since I was a kid, ever since I lost my heart/emotions, I've always been searching for a place to die.”

Apparently, he has long been Orochi’s man which also corroborated with Kaido’s previous statement about having an informant within Oden’s castle. “From the very beginning, the Kanjuro you all know never existed,” Kanjuro adds.

“I experienced joy and sorrow together with you all on a daily basis, obtained your absolute trust...didn't resent any of you, and I also intended to hurt any of you," the traitor says. "The only thing I did was to continuously feed Master Orochi information.”

Word of the Nine Red Scabbard’s time-travelling feat will eventually reach Kaido’s ears. At first, he will find it incredible to believe.

“Did an ability like that really exist in that burning castle!?” Kaido asks Orochi. “Maybe someone is just messing with you cause you're scared?”

After Orochi will eventually convince him, Kaido will formulate another plan. “In that case, make sure you don't kill them,” Kaido orders. “If they are actually alive, then I have something that I have wanted to ask the remnants of the Kozuki for the last 20 years.”

Meanwhile, “One Piece” chapter 974 will reveal that Denjiro, who was previously suspected by some fans to be the traitor, will have some plans of his own. “In the worst case I will separate Komurasaki from Orochi with 'Death',” he says.

“One Piece” Chapter 974 will officially be out on March 15.
