The Ninja-Pirate-Samurai-Mink alliance’s plan is, so far, going well, but it might only take a little time before chaos breaks out. The last panel of the latest chapter was showing Luffy with his game face on suggesting he could, as expected, start an epic trouble in “One Piece” chapter 980.
‘One Piece’ chapter 980: Will Luffy ruin the alliance’s plan?
Straw Hats are just behind Kidd’s crew, and they all entered through the front gate of Onigashima undetected. With Kin’emon’s help, they are also somewhat using disguise clothing. However, all signs now point to Luffy starting trouble in “One Piece” chapter 980 that could change the status of their supposedly discreet invasion of Kaido’s place.
Luffy found the people of Onigashima wasting plenty of oshiruko just because it does not taste good with alcohol. They then made fun of people living in Okobore saying they are beggars and would eat even dirt. Those comments reminded Luffy of Tama, who was the very first person Luffy met in Wano and was a dear friend to Ace. An evidently mad Luffy is then highlighted by the end of the chapter, and that could be a huge foreshadowing of him starting a fight in “One Piece” chapter 980.
There was also a seeming foreshadowing of Luffy starting trouble in “One Piece” chapter 980. Jinbe, being a new member of the crew, trusted Luffy when he said he will just go after Kidd to guide them. But Usopp, Chopper, Sanji, and Nami protested saying, “That’s only going to make things worse!”
This possibility should not come as a surprise, especially to avid fans. Even Law, when plotting their approach to Onigashima, already anticipated that the Straw Hats will be involved or start trouble in some way. It was wise of Law to make Luffy’s unpredictability a part of the plan. Now, if Luffy starts a massive fight in “One Piece” chapter 980, the forces led by Kin’emon entering from the east, Denjiro attacking from the south, and Law with the Akazaya samurai moving from underwater could use it as a diversion. On the other hand, fans should also not expect things to be easy for the alliance.
‘One Piece’ chapter 980 release date: Another hiatus confirmed
The manga series is still being released every two weeks likely due to coronavirus. But fans can use this as an opportunity to review the alliance’s plans and see how things could play out as they attack Kaido’s castle. “One Piece” chapter 980 will be released on May 24.
