‘One Piece’ chapter 982 release date, spoilers: Big Mom chases Chopper and Usopp; Who’s Who searches for Yamato

Luffy, the samurai and the rest of the pirate alliance have finally set their plan in motion and on their way to raid Onigashima in “One Piece” chapter 982. Some of them have already reached the island while the rest are still trying to enter through the passageway indicated in their master plan.

The Whitebeard pirates have joined Luffy’s alliance as well. This would be a big help in taking Kaido down and fans are excited about this. “One Piece” chapter 982 will show Izo’s arrival and a full-blown battle is expected to begin.

Episode recap

In the previous chapter 981, Izo and Marco the Phoenix have appeared through the waterfall. But while this may mean that the Whitebeard pirates are also within the vicinity, the other members of their pirate group were not shown yet.

Apoo was thought to have died in this chapter after Kidd punched him as a counterattack. Kidd used the Punk Gibson attack as it turned out, Apoo was only knocked out for a while but survived the attack and has his face all bloody. The fact that Apoo is secretly working for Kaido really infuriated Kidd since he is one of his allies.

The good thing is - Kaido and Orochi have not heard about their enemies reaching Onigashima. Meanwhile, Who’s Who already set out to find Kaido’s son Yamato and since he is determined to find him, he did not join the melee to catch Luffy and his team.

As posted on the Reddit page for “One Piece” chapter 982’s spoilers, it was stated that Flying Six member Black Maria has no interest in looking for Yamato even if Kaido ordered them to find him. She chose to stay close to Kaido.

On the other hand, Kanjuro arrived and informed Orochi and Kaido that the plan to stop the scabbards was a failure. It appears that they are still not aware that they are actually on Onigashima already. Orochi and Kaido are also likely to ignore Kanjuro’s report since they are very drunk.

“One Piece” chapter 982 will also show Law and the scabbards in the submarine as they are planning to enter Kaido’s lair through the waters. Chopper and Usopp are also in danger as Big Mom found them in the waterfalls and they are being chased.
