‘One Piece’ episode 901 release date, spoilers: Luffy fights in a sumo wrestling match amid search for Tama

Anime-only fans can expect the Wano story arc to introduce a long list of supporting characters that will make the upcoming episodes fun to watch. While Luffy has yet to encounter the boss enemies at this point, viewers will witness him take part in more fights starting in “One Piece” chapter 901.

The next episode picks up from a cliffhanger where Tama was kidnapped by the Beasts Pirates gifter, Gazelleman. Luffy, Zoro, and Kiku are on a mission to save Tama. To do so, they have to enter Bakura Town in “One Piece” chapter 901 where Orochi’s forces are situated.

Depending on the scope of “One Piece” chapter 901, fans could be getting updates on the whereabouts of Tama and the next activities of Luffy, Zoro, and Kiku. As for the trio, they are in for a string of small yet exciting fights, especially Luffy.

Since they are unfamiliar faces, people in Bakura will get hostile towards them in “One Piece” chapter 901. Luffy uses Haoshoku Haki on them so they can enter the town. Their trip will be interrupted again when Urashima, an undefeated sumo wrestler who forcefully wants to marry Kiku, enters the scene.

Things will escalate when Kiku mindlessly cuts off Urashima’s top knot with her sword. The sumo fighter then wants to kill her, until Luffy challenges him on a sumo wrestling match in “One Piece” chapter 901. The fight will be an easy one for Luffy, and he will send Urashima flying from a powerful punch destroying Holdem’s house in the process.

Holdem is one of the Beasts’ headliners who uses SMILE and has a lion on his stomach. He takes an interest in knowing how Tama’s devil fruit works, and Holdem knows that she was able to tame Hihimaru with it. Out of desperation, Holdem will have his subordinates use pliers to force Tama in producing her devil fruit in “One Piece” chapter 901.

It is possible that “One Piece” chapter 901 will end with a teaser of Luffy and Holdem’s fight. The latter uses Tama as leverage and underestimates the power of the Straw Hats captain. Meanwhile, the next episode is also going to be good just because it will introduce another important location within the Wano territories. “One Piece” chapter 901 will be released on Sept. 8.
