The trailer of “One Punch Man” Season 2 has been recently released and fans finally glimpsed the quality of J.C. Staff’s animation design. While the teaser clip didn’t offer much, the series’ following were quick to point out the differences in animation between the previous installment and the upcoming release.
But aside from comparing the work of Madhouse and J.C. Staff, fans who haven’t read the manga were quick to ask questions about two characters, Garou and King. While this is the first time that Garou will appear in the anime, King already made his debut in the previous installment. And with the description labeled on both characters in the trailer, it’s no wonder that audiences are curious about them and their roles in “One Punch Man” Season 2.
For Garou, he’ll be the main antagonist of the second installment but his powers are not expected to peak just yet. What makes this villain so dangerous is his ability to improve when he’s backed into a corner. He also has the ability to imitate the moves of a hero if he sees it first hand, a skill that would likely be featured in “One Punch Man” Season 2.
King, on the other hand, will be added as comedic relief for the next installment. Although the trailer described the character as “the most powerful human on Earth,” he’s nothing but a fraud and a coward. However, King does have a good heart and has been portrayed as someone who is willing to help those who are in need. He’s also a close friend of Saitama and has helped the titular hero out of a tight situation several times. Although King is extremely weak, he does have an uncanny amount of luck, which leads some fans to assume that the character may have some hidden power in him after all. Whatever the case, Garou and King will prove to be essential additions for the cast of “One Punch Man” Season 2. Their presence will no doubt attract more viewers of the series when it airs on April 2019.
