Garou is confirmed to be the anime’s next main villain. And knowing his thirst for blood, is it safe to say that Garou will immediately start his killing spree in “One Punch Man” season 2 episode 1?
In several fictional franchises, the worst villains are the ones who used to be affiliated with the good guys, and Garou fits that profile. And if he makes an entrance just like he did in the manga, “One Punch Man” season 2 episode 1 is most likely going to be a brutal premiere.
Garou used to be one of Bang’s best students. Garou ended up becoming power-greedy that he later crossed Bang. This caused him to be expelled from Bang’s dojo, which also resulted in a resentful Garou. If “One Punch Man” season 2 episode 1 is anything like season 1’s opener, fans might get some introductory scenes going back to Garou’s better days.
The next season of the anime series is most likely going to be based on the Hero Hunter arc. As the title suggests, it serves as a comprehensive introduction of Garou. Because of his expulsion, he developed a resentment for the heroes and a fascination of the monsters.
If “One Punch Man” season 2 episode 1 is going to be Garou’s “get to know me” episode, the most fitting way to introduce him is to adapt a chapter from the manga. In chapter 40, the main villain joins a special meeting in the Hero Association HQ.
The gathering, which is hopefully covered in “One Punch Man” season 2 episode 1, was meant to offer the criminals and villains an alliance with the heroes so they can all focus on defeating the monsters. Among the attendees is Garou. Obviously, he does not care about saving the Earth from the onslaught of monsters and he is just there to taunt the heroes.
In the event that “One Punch Man” season 2 episode 1 will be based on the said chapter, fans can expect Garou to showcase his power by killing everyone in the room without shedding a sweat. The exact release date of “One Punch Man” season 2 episode 1 is still unknown but it is slated to premiere in April 2019.
