As a show that is all about the main character being so overpowered that he can take out anyone with a single punch, “One Punch Man” Season 2 still promises to be a big hit. The show is set to return on April 2019, with Saitama and Genos facing new enemies. One of the main baddies this time will be a martial artist named Garou, but he won’t be the only one. [Spoilers Ahead]
The announcement trailer of “One Punch Man” Season 2 revealed very little about the contents of the upcoming anime, but it is certainly enough to get the blood of fans pumping. It reminds viewers of the capabilities of Saitama, as well as the sheer kinetic energy that the anime brings. Season 2 is bound to be no different, which makes the 2019 wait so much more painful.
Still, at least fans have gotten confirmation that the show is coming back and there will be a new villain in the picture. As Polygon notes, the main plot of “One Punch Man” Season 2 features a prediction by a famed seer that destruction is on its way. With monster attacks becoming more frequent in the upcoming season, this foretelling is already starting to make sense.
However, it won’t be until when “One Punch Man” Season 2 starts going that the prediction comes into fruition. There will be a new threat in the form of new monster groups coming to make the lives of heroes more difficult, for example. Some beast will be so strong that even S-class heroes will have trouble handling them.
As for the new villain named Garou, he will be an antagonist that purposefully targets heroes in “One Punch Man” Season 2. He is the former disciple of the S-Class hero Bang who possesses incredible martial arts capabilities and a monstrous will. He will be a major threat to the rest of the heroes in the show, but won’t even be worth Saitama’s notice, as expected.
