A lot of rumors about the release date and specifications of the Oppo F9 and the Oppo F9 Pro have been surfacing recently. For one, these devices are speculated to launch in August with MediaTek chipsets.
The rumors that the Oppo F9 and the Oppo F9 Pro are going to be released just months from their predecessor, the Oppo F7, intensified last week. A supposed teaser photo for the devices’ unveiling event was leaked along with an image purportedly showing the smartphones’ Bluetooth certification.
DealNTech, which first reported both leaked images, said that both the Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro are slated to be launched in an event in August. The same report shared the supposed teaser poster for the said event, and one detail stands out.

Like many teaser photos, the image purportedly for the Oppo F9 series only has an outlined illustration of the rumored smartphones. But it still managed to surprise many Oppo fans mainly because it sports a rear-side dual camera system. A third round-shaped component is seen beside the camera lenses, which likely represents the LED flash.
This is interesting news since the Oppo F7 was launched with a single-lens camera both on its front and rear sides. However, there is also the possibility that the dual camera system is offered only on the Oppo F9 Pro.
Reports also spotted the Bluetooth certification granted on July 18 for the Oppo F9 and the Oppo F9 Pro. The document specifically mentioned the upcoming devices’ names while the model numbers listed CPH 1823, CPH 1825, CPH 1881 are possibly referring to different configurations of the Oppo F9 smartphones.
The Bluetooth certification papers reportedly showed that the Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro are built with the same components as the Oppo F7. With that, reports believe that the upcoming smartphones are likely powered with the same MediaTek chipset as well — the Mediatek MT6771 Helio P60 clocked at 2.0 GHz with eight cores. As for other specs, the base model Oppo F9 is expected to be sold with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal drive while the bigger Oppo F9 Pro could have up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
