The 5G smartphone market is expected to heat up with the coming high-end entries of iPhone 12 and Samsung Galaxy S11. But for buyers looking for a more affordable 5G option, the Oppo Reno 3 and Oppo Reno 3 Pro are already available in the market.
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro
The Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G has impressive specs and features. It comes equipped with the brand-new Snapdragon 765G processor and has a high-quality 6.5-inch OLED FHD+ display with an amazing 90Hz refresh rate, Android Authority reported.
Charging is super-fast as the 4,025mAh battery will already become 50 percent full after just 20 minutes of charging. A full charging session lasts for 56 minutes.
The phone’s camera doesn’t disappoint either. It has a four-lens camera setup at the back. There’s a 48MP (IMX586 with OIS) main camera, an ultra-wide 8MP camera, a telephoto lens (13MP) and a monochrome sensor (2MP). The company said the setup is capable of a 5x hybrid optical zoom.
Oppo Reno 3 5G
If the Pro version seems a bit too pricey, there's a cheaper option - the Oppo Renn 3 5G. The main difference is that instead of the Pro’s Snapdragon processor, this cheaper alternative will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1000L chipset.
Aside from the processor, the standard Oppo Reno 3 5G basically packs the same specs and features. It will still sport the same fast-charging 4,025mAh battery. It will also have the same 6.4-inch FHD+ OLED display which will also feature the in-display fingerprint sensor.
In terms of its camera package, the Reno 3 has a four-lens rear camera setup as well. There a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP for ultra-wide shots as well as telephoto and monochrome sensors. Just like its pricier cousin, it will have a selfie camera capable of taking 32MP photos.
Oppo Reno 3 series price
There are two variants for the Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G. The 8GM RAM with 128GB storage option is priced at around $571 while the 12 GB RAM with 256GB storage option is priced higher at $643.
Meanwhile, there are two options for vanilla Reno 3 as well. The 8GB RAM with 128GB storage variant is offered at around $486 while the option with 12 GB RAM with 128GB storage is priced at $528.
