Orange, the Silicon Valley division of global telecommunications, is the planning to enter the cryptocurrency ecosystem. It is looking to invest around $20,000 per start-up and is in talks with two bitcoin companies, as reported by Bloomberg.
"There's something intriguing in this technology," Georges Nahon, OSV's chief executive officer told reporter Olga Kharif, adding "so we want to be there as early as possible. This could be a digital platform for the future".
The news comes after the company expanded its venture capital effort with the launch of Orange Digital Ventures, citing its target to support 500 start-ups around the world by 2020 in March.
