Bitcoin Consolidates Near $78K: Will Strong ETF Inflows Trigger a Breakout to $90K?

BTCUSD trades in a narrow range after a massive pullback. It hit an intraday low of $78146 and is now trading around $78335.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs showed remarkable general resiliency over the five trading sessions from late August to early September, bringing in about $986.7 million in total net inflows despite great daily swings. The stretch started on September 1 with a drop as money, mostly from redemptions from BlackRock's IBIT and Fidelity's FBTC, recorded $236.5 million in net outflows. Demand, however, shot back over the next three sessions, as seen by a huge $730.8 million inflow spike on September 3 when Bitcoin moved toward $80,000. Over the positive sessions, gross inflows came to $1.238 billion, which more than compensated for the one redemption day and brought the overall multi-session net result close to $1 billion.
