The previously announced “Oshi no Ko” Season 2 anime has revealed a new teaser video and graphic, as well as an official release window in 2024. The first season of the supernatural mystery anime premiered on HIDIVE earlier this year, and the series is widely regarded as one of the best new anime shows published in 2023, with many fans and critics applauding it. Fans won't have to wait long, as the production team has released a new trailer and teaser visual featuring Aqua Hoshino, Kana Arima, and Akane Kurokawa.
‘Oshi no Ko’ Season 2 Trailer and Teaser
Unfortunately, the teaser does not include any new animation footage from the highly awaited “Oshi no Ko” Season 2, but it is a decent reminder that the sequel is in the works, which is enough to get fans excited.
Before “Oshi no Ko” Season 2, the first season was animated by Studio Doga Kobo (Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie), with director Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project) at the helm and assistant director Saori Tachibana (Wasteful Days of High School Girls), per EpicFlix. The character designs were overseen by Kanna Hirayama (Rent-a-Girlfriend), based on the best-selling manga series authored by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokari (Scum's Wish).
‘Oshi no Ko’ Season 2 Cast
Rie Takahashi plays Ai Hoshino, Takeo Otsuka plays Aquamarine Hoshino, Yurie Igoma plays Ruby Hoshino, Megumi Han plays Kana Arima, Manaka Iwami plays Akane Kurokawa, Lynn plays Miyako Saito, and Rumi Okubo plays Memcho. They are all expected to return for “Oshi no Ko” Season 2.
Meanwhile, HIDIVE and Netflix Asia have all 11 episodes of “Oshi no Ko” Season 1 accessible for streaming. The first season's English dub is available for streaming on those platforms. Oshi no Ko Season 2 is also scheduled to be available on HIDIVE, but the streaming service just stated that it would be shutting down its services in territories outside of the United States, therefore, it will most likely be available on another streaming service for those viewers.
